Amie has proven to be a most able and efficient fundraiser. Initially taking time to understand Edge Ministries as a charity, not only the practical outworkings of what we do but importantly our ethos and values, Amie has a detailed knowledge of who we are and what we are striving to achieve.

I have known Amie for going on 15 years and have admired her professionalism, focus and attention to detail in her work throughout those years. Amie has extensive personal knowledge of the potential available and relevant funders coupled with mutually respected contact with the appropriate senior contacts within those organisations. All of this is built on Amie’s astute understanding and experience of how to write relevant and compelling funding bids.
It was this knowledge and experience which underpinned my proactive recommendation to my own Board of Trustees to appoint Amie to work for the Trust. The reasons behind appointing Amie to work for the Trust was the fact that I myself was, at that time, facing the prospect of going into hospital to undergo open heart surgery. Additionally the Trust was in the midst of a major project creating a new dedicated house/service to provide for the urgent needs of homeless females. This project was a massive major undertaking for the Trust costing just over £800,000 – money which the Trust did not have but urgently needed to raise. I knew and had every confidence that Amie was the professional who could work with the Trust and help to raise/secure this funding.
If I share with you that the Trust has raised ALL of the funds required then you will gauge concretely that the Trust’s faith in Amie and her abilities has been well placed and rewarded!
Having spent all of my 15 years working at the Canaan Trust fundraising for the Canaan, among all my other duties and responsibilities I know the work and dedication which is currently required in fundraising. I know no professional more able or better equipped than Amie. You will find her a ‘joy’ to work with. Yes you will have to get your act together as funders are becoming more exacting in what they wish to know about an organisation – they will wish to see evidence of sound management, solid financial planning and control, as well as clear evidence of the impact the applicant’s services deliver and the impact which their funding will make.
